HISTORY
Nobody knows landscaping like Skyline Design & Landscape. With over 30 years of landscape experience, they have built a thriving full-service landscape company that serves both Commercial and Residential customers.
Skyline Design & Landscape was created in 2008. Our team had already been working together for many years when the decision was made to form Skyline. Building the company has been the most exhausting and rewarding adventure we have ever accomplished. And the adventure is never-ending; we are always working toward making our company better for our customers, employees, vendors and community.
OUR TEAM
Charlie Simmons began landscaping in 1983 when he got his first job at a large landscape company here in Charlotte as a laborer. Since then, he has worked on countless projects in the Carolinas and beyond working his way from laborer to leader. He has managed over 75 field employees and projects up to $2 million.
TINA
SIMMONS
Tina Simmons began her career in the accounting field but felt a calling to the landscape industry in 1995. Since then she has taken plant identification and irrigation classes and has earned her Irrigation and Landscape licenses from the State of NC. When working with Tina, you'll notice her passion for landscape design.
SCOTT
HURD
Scott Hurd began his landscaping career in upstate New York and arrived in the Carolinas in 1996. He oversees the estimating of over $20 million per year in bid work for the Construction Division. Scott also manages the general oversight of company operations and has earned his North Carolina Landscape License.
RICHARD SHINHOLT
Richard Shinholt began his landscaping career in 1990 here in the Carolinas. He has an extensive background in turf and plant management, as well as experience in golf course management. Richard has also earned his NC & SC pesticide licenses along with a North Carolina Landscape License. He has been a great addition to our team.
